Be Bright Pink

My husband sent me this link today ... Be Bright Pink

"Bright Pink is a unique resource providing support to young women who are at high risk for breast and ovarian cancer. We arm young women with knowledge, options and a great attitude, and offer companionship and empathy during their journey. We empower them to take control of their breast and ovarian health and in turn, grant them the freedom and peace of mind to live a beautiful and fulfilling life."

Check out the Lindsay's story - the founder of Bright Pink

There is an event coming up October 5, 2007 - called The Power of Pink and it's held in Chicago. 100% of the proceeds go towards Bright Pink. So, check out the links and keep the fight against breast cancer going.

Team Paint the Town Pink Update - We have reached $400.00 in donations effective 9-26-07, which means we are 80% of the way to our $500.00 goal. I got a generous offer from one of our team members (who shall remain nameless, unless permission to use their name is granted) to cover the remaining 20% in order to reach our goal. I am hoping that we can get more team members donating rather than having to rely on a team member who has already given to date.

Keep it up and please spread the word!

There is still time - UPDATED

We have reached $330.00 as of this afternoon ... bringing us 5% closer to our $500.00 goal.

Team Paint the Town Pink is holding at $305.00 in donations so far ... that's 61% of the goal to reach $500.00.

There is still time to make a donation. If you donate a minimum of $5.00, you will receive a pin to wear showing your support of breast cancer research. During the month of October, please wear Pink every Friday to give Passionately Pink for a Cure a visual showcase.

You can donate online via this link or you can write a check payable to Susan G. Komen for the Cure OR pay in cash.

Thank you to all of those who have donated so far, it's greatly appreciated. The money is going to a great foundation with an even better goal! Finding a cure for breast cancer!

I toast to a cure

We've raised $225.00 towards our $500.00 goal - which means we are at 45% of reaching our first goal. Donations are coming in slower this year compared to last year's overwhelming response. But I can understand that it's difficult to donate when there are so many other causes out there. I appreciate everyone's attention to our team's progress! Click on the link below to keep current on our growing donations.

Passionately Pink for the Cure

Thank you to all that have donated. I hope that more of you are willing to part with $5.00 to grow efforts towards better breast cancer research!

You can donate online through the above link or you can pay by check made out to Susan G. Komen for the Cure (see this post for more information)
