Pasta Dinner

31 Paint the Town Pink'ers and Counting!

On Friday, June 1st, a buffet pasta dinner will be served at the Best Western Inn on the Park. Reception begins at 5:30 p.m., dinner at 6:30 p.m. with a program to follow.

Join the Komen Foundation to celebrate the 2006 Grant Recipients, meet our sponsors, hear special speakers, and win lots of door prizes! They will also have limited items from the Pink Ribbon Boutique and Liina Keerd, our Race artist, will be available to sign posters. You can purchase tickets for the event by clicking here.

This is the 2006 race poster, I would assume there is to be a 2007 poster as it notes the artist will be available at the pasta dinner to sign posters.

The image is an original oil painting by Liina Keerd, titled "One Saturday Morning". It was inspired by the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson, "To laugh often and much...to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition, to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived."

Madison Affiliate

**Update** 29 Team Members

Visit the Madison Affiliate for the Komen Foundation by clicking here. You can find information on grants, community resources, education, news and community events.

Imagine the Cure is an upcoming event in September 2007 to celebrate, support and provide opportunity to contribute to the research, education, screening and treatment of breast cancer. Hosted on the grounds of a private residence, the event showcases local artists and their works, features an amazing sampling of hors d’oeuvres and live entertainment.

The memorial and honorarium allows you to remember a loved one’s life, celebrate a special occasion (birthday, anniversary, etc.) or recognize the courage of a friend or relative who is fighting breast cancer by making a donation in the person’s name. A personalized tribute card is sent to the person or family indicated, notifying them of the thoughtful donation but not revealing the amount. Each gift is tax-deductible to the extent of the law, and each donor receives an acknowledgement for the donation.

For the golfers out there, visit Rally for the Cure to host your own event.

Many thanks once again for all of your support. Keep the word out and let's GROW this team!

Keep it going ...

I've raised $65.00 on my fundraising page thus far. Thank you to everyone out there who is supporting my Mom and others fighting breast cancer.

I noticed yesterday that Coldwater Creek is having a sale on their "In Pink" collection. Most of it is on sale right now, so to all the women - go check it out and to all the men - check it out and buy something for a woman in your life!

For every item you buy
Coldwater Creek will donate 10% of the purchase price of this item to Susan G. Komen for the Cure! It's a win-win situation. :)

Check out the awesome bicycle at the bottom of this page. Wouldn't it be fun to ride this? Felt Racing made this cruiser in their 2006 collection.

Thank you to those who have joined the team since yesterday! We are 15 strong and counting. I know there are a few people who have registered individually and I need to see what I can do to convert them to team Paint the Town Pink.

I inquired about volunteer opportunites for Race for the Cure as well. I received a volunteer form via e-mail, but you can also find more information here as well ---> Volunteer Opportunities You can also register online as a volunteer by going to this link Sign-Up to volunteer.
