With Mother's Day approaching as well, you can also order Mother's Day tribute cards directly from the Komen Marketplace online. Please order by May 11th to ensure timely delivery.

A buffet pasta dinner will be served at The Best Western Inn on the Park on the capitol square. reception begins at 5:30 p.m., dinner at 6:30 p.m. with program to follow. Join us to celebrate the current Grant Recipients, meet our sponsors, hear special speakers and win door prizes. A silent auction is held at the Pasta Dinner. Items will be available for viewing on the race website in May.

I established team Paint the Town Pink in October 2006 for a fundraiser called Passionately Pink for the Cure. We raised $2,806.04 for the Komen Foundation and I intend to participate in this fundraiser every year.
I resumed the "team" when I noticed that Race for the Cure was going to be held in Madison on June 2, 2007.
Personally I am doing this for my Mom who was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer in August of 2006. We lost her on March 7, 2010 - so we must press on without her physically. But her spirit remains in all of us - and together we will help find a cure!
So, that is MY reason for supporting the Komen Foundation ... what is YOURS?
